On our family overland adventures in Africa, you will travel in our custom built overland truck, staying in campsites, hostels and lodges along the way and getting involved in cooking and camp set up.

VICTORIA FALLS IN ZIMBABWE
Victoria Falls is a breathtaking natural wonder and adventure hub. We have time to view the falls before crossing into Botswana, or arrive early to enjoy white-water rafting, bungee jumping, or scenic helicopter tours.
CROCODILE SAFE SWIMMING POOL
Ngepi's croc-safe pool offers unique, thrilling swimming. Enclosed in a sturdy cage, it lets you experience the Okavango River's beauty, worry-free, alongside (separated from!) its resident crocodiles and hippos.
SAND DUNES FUN
The towering dunes near Swakopmund towering offer thrilling fun, just climbing them or taking to sandboards. Strap in and carve down the slopes for an adrenaline rush. No experience needed, guides provide instruction, fun guaranteed.
DESERT ELEPHANTS
Etosha National Park offers a unique safari experience for the whole family: adapted-desert elephants. Witness these majestic giants as they traverse arid landscapes, a rare and unforgettable wildlife encounter in their natural habitat.
CAPE COAST SEAL COLONY
Experience the Cape Coast's playful seal colony. Observe these captivating creatures in their natural habitat, basking in the sun and frolicking in the waves. A must-see for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers.
DEADVLEI TREES
Deadvlei's skeletal camel thorn trees, frozen in time against a stark white clay pan and towering dunes, create a surreal and otherworldly landscape. A photographer's dream and a truly unique Namibian experience.
Essential Trip Information
Accommodation
Mix of camping and hotels, hostels, guesthouses. Tents provided, bring your own sleeping bag & camping mat.
Vehicle
On these family trips you will have the opportunity to have a real overland experience on one of our famous yellow expedition trucks.
Meals
Eat at the truck, overland style for many of the meals, and get involved in helping cook for the group a couple of times during the trip. But enjoy several included group meals out at local restaurants as well.
Dates
Our departures are timed to fit within the UK school summer holidays. The Nairobi-Zanzibar/Windhoek trips start on 25th/26th July, with the Victoria Falls departure following on 8th/9th August.

NAIROBI TO ZANZIBAR (15 DAYS) TANZANIA FAMILY OVERLAND
On this overland tour you have the opportunity to get up close to the amazing wildlife in the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, home to the Big 5 and the migration site of 1.5 million Wildebeest. As well as sight-seeing, you can chill out on the beautiful white sandy beaches of Zanzibar and explore the history and culture of Stone Town.
VICTORIA FALLS TO WINDHOEK (15 DAYS) DESERTS & DELTA FAMILY OVERLAND
Explore some of the most varied and exciting landscapes in Africa. Starting in Victoria Falls on the border of Zimbabwe, we travel into Botswana before exploring Namibia and finishing in the capital, Windhoek.
NAIROBI TO WINDHOEK (29 DAYS) AFRICA FAMILY OVERLAND
Combine both trips for a comprehensive 4-week adventure from Nairobi all the way to Windhoek. This trip requires an additional flight from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam to Lusaka or Victoria Falls (not included).
