The local tour company with Karim as owner, as driver and tour guide made this trip exeptional!
Karim with Janghir as his side kick were a good team!
The equipement like the jeeps were in very good condition thanks to Karim which made the KKH a smooth highway.
And the knowledge of Karim about the areas we past through, the local people/and the way of life in Pakistan was great!
Also the group we travelled with was nice and we have had a lot of fun.
This Pakistan trip, which runs this year the first time by Oasis is an amazing add to the trips that already exist with Oasis. Herewith compliments to Karim and his team, Oasis and the friendly local people in Pakistan!
Route recommendations
I did do the two weeks trip along the Karakorum Highway and added a extra week to visit Lahore and Peshawar. To see the rich history in those cities and the Waga border.
I do recommed to add that week to the trips which runs in the spring and autumn to get the real combination between the massive nature in the North and the cities and rich history in the South. Not to forget this border ceremony in Waga! That was amazing!
Hopefully a lot of people will get in touch with all the beautifull sites in Pakistan with Oasis and Karim and his team.

Turkmenistan gas crater + Ashgabat were very weirdly awesome! The horse back riding at Ruslan camp in Kazakhstan was the best trail ride I have ever been on, and the entire loop driving around the lake in Kyrgzstan was beautiful.
Favourite city was Esfahan in Iran.

As I liked my 1st trip so much - there ended up being 3 of us on this one; me, mum and my aunt. Highlights were - meeting a small herd of elephants next to the footpath in Vic Falls on our 1st day. The Chobe River Cruise... Elephant Sands... Etosha...Bushcamp - especially the one where we did the kudu/oryx/zebra/giraffe braai in Namibia. Mum thought the township tour in Swakopmund was really, really good. The scenery... Luke and Lisa (driver and tour leader) were exceptionally good. Lisa'truck lunches ♥ ♥ ♥ The other people on the truck... And then - the 4 winery tasting trip in Stellenbosch to finish it all off.
We travellled in June/July - do bring a warm (!!!!) 3 season sleeping bag this time of year.
If you've never travelled in Africa, never done much camping, never done overlanding, but sort of consider that you'd like to - do this one!!!!

The Oasis crew (Lisa and Torbin) were terrific. Petting the "tame" cheetahs was incredible. Would have liked an extra day in the Etosha Game Reserve. Only had about 4 nights of rough camping -- had expected more!! so very civilized!! Had a fish bake on the beach for Christmas day with towering sand dunes as a backdrop -- who could wish for more

This tour and Oasis as a company are amazing! The trip is packed with so many highlights and a good variety of game parks, adventure activities and cultural experiences. The truck is a great set up and the tents are great. Cooking is part of the fun and shopping in the local markets is a great way to experience the local way of life. Value for money is incredible. Overlanding is the best way to experience Africa and can say hands down Oasis is definitely the company to do it with! Thanks team

Ricardo our tour guide was, without a doubt, an absolute delight. It wouldn't have been the same trip without him. The guide (Jimmy) and the porters on the Inca Trail section of our tour were also amazing.
I would have liked to see more use of hostels than hotels to keep costs down, certainly some of the hostels I've stayed in during my 3 months in South America were much cheaper and of better quality than some of the hotels that we stayed at during our two week Oasis Overland trip.
Over all though a great experience that I will recommend.
