Why Overlanding is Good for your Soul DRAFT

Going on holiday has long been lauded as a way to rest, refresh and come back brimming with energy. While "restful" might not be the first word that springs to mind when describing our trips, they definitely have the power to fill our travellers with vigour and often people head home feeling a little bit altered...

You can be whoever you want to be!

Whether it's the best version of yourself, or you just fancy stepping outside the roles expected of you at home, overlanding is a great way to relax and not have to be the "sensible one" or the "grumpy in the morning one". Waking up, clasping a mug of coffee and just being - what a way to start the day!

You reconnect with life outdoors

Much of travelling on an overland adventure - or our small group adventures - involves living life outside. You sleep under canvas, you cook your meals outside, you spend evenings sitting around the camp fire - there's something invigorating about some much fresh air! Re-calibrating your body clock to follow sunrise and sunset feels refreshing and brings you back to basics.

You meet new people

Your fellow travellers, local people in the countries you travel to - and your Oasis crew! Your Oasis group will become like a family and the close relationships you build are sure to result in lasting friendships. Our trips attract people from all over the world, and from all walks of life, which means you'll learn about new cultures, you'll have people to visit in other countries, and have great laughs along the way!

You escape the commute!

You wake up to a different view (almost!) every day

You see inspiring sights

You can choose to embrace your fear
